Tip Tuesday (Halloween Edition)
October 25, 2016
August 1, 2016
With the cooler weather creeping in, I know some of you are already missing summer, so today on this fabulous Tip Tuesday, I want to talk to you ladies about BEACH WAVES!
We will talk about the different types of waves and give you some tips on how to achieve each look.
So, here we go!
Look Number One - Classic Wave
1st: Use a good thermal protectant (I recommend Kenra Blow Dry Spray)
2nd: Begin by curling your hair away from your face.
3rd: When you come to the middle back, begin curling from the opposite side, remembering away from the face.
4th: DO NOT disturb your curls. They should be very spiral-like.
5th: Spray with medium hold hair spray.
6th: MOST IMPORTANT - Let your curls cool completely.
Lastly, using either a wide tooth comb or your fingers, pull out those gorgeous waves!
Look Number Two - Messy Beach Wave
1st: Use a good thermal protectant.
2nd: Begin by curling either away or towards your face (whichever you like better).
3rd: Curl hair in different directions.
6th: MOST IMPORTANT Let your curls cool completely.
Lastly, using either a wide tooth comb or your fingers, MESS IT UP!
The last look I want to show you all is a messier version of the messy beach wave, only on short hair.
Look Number Three - The Messier(?) Beach Wave.
2nd: Begin curling either away of towards your face (whichever you like better).
3rd: The biggest difference with this look, is you are going to leave the ends of each curl as straight as you can. Continue curling in all different directions.
4th: DO NOT disturb your curls. They should be loose spiral curls.
Just because summer is gone, it doesn't mean we can't keep a bit of the beach around! Share your beach waves with us @salonwestnash on Instagram! Have fun, ladies! 🌊
